The best pastries I've ever had (specifically the black & white cookies). Friendly service and have a wide array of goods. Always packed on Friday, so try and get there earlier in the day.

For those people that are eating from this Butterflake Bakery. You are making the biggest mistake in your life. 1 i work for a company that buy the pastry and Im the one that set it up. i have seen 4 time those nasty little animal coming out the box that we get from their store their was 4 kaka roach. I use to love their pastry and now i dont eat it or see it like i use to. This is a discos thing bakeryy. i could think 2 time before buying anything from this store.
when we get our food they always missing food.

Butterflake is a Teaneck institution. The baked goods are great. "Comfort homestyle" neighborhood bakery is how I would describe Butterflake. As for their service, it's good. I can't complain. As you get to know them, you feel more and more at home. I'm a NYC transplant, so I'm OK with their service. It's a bakery, not Saks Fifth Avenue, so expect a baker's demeanor.
