These guys are a bit pricey, but they've always done repairs well. They got me a new back wheel for my vintage Raleigh & it's perfect (when other shops said it couldn't be done) And the truth is I checked the wheel on the internet and they were not ripping me off. Is it perfect? No, but I've yet to find a perfect bike shop in nyc, and I've been riding for almost 15 years here.

Awful people, awful experience. Every time I go in there I come outside upset or shocked. I tried to give this shop three or four chances to prove my bad opinion wrong and they always made it worse. Just bad people.

This Shop has come a very long way, In fact, This shop has done a major 360 compared to the guys who used to run this shop. The guys who are running this shop now definitely know what they are doing when it comes to repairs and service. These guys carry high end components at affordable prices, and If they do not have it, They can get it in 2 days. I got a Philwood hub laced to H plus Son rim and had it built in 2 days at an affordable price. When it comes to quality work I wouldn't go elsewhere. I've been to plenty of shops in the neighborhood that have tried to rip me off, and one thing that keeps me coming back to Busy Bee their honesty and quality.

My friend stopped by and told them I was looking for a bike and every store I've been to had lousy customer service. The owner (Joe) told my friend to send me here and he would take care of me. I don't know if Joe was there when I showed up (Tuesday morning) but the guy on the phone talking about the economy and Groupon did not acknowledge me in any way, and after ten minutes of being ignored, I left. I was planning to buy a bike that morning, in the $300 to $500 range, but I guess they don't need the money or the business.
In their defense, I have found most bike stores in Manhattan suck when it comes to customer service. I guess they have a built in market and don't need to care.
