I always liked this place since I moved to town 8 years ago, but lately it's not quite up to par. The place has an odd odor like dirty mop water, and the food now is just ok. I always ordered the chicken soup because it was amazing. Not anymore. Everytime I order it it either has nothing but slimy dark meat, pieces of blubber(fat) in it or unidentified dark pieces of what I can only guess are burned onion skins(I HOPE) What happened? Again this is only my opinion, you don't have to like it, I just won't be going back Doesn't matter if they care. I'm stating my opinion!

Amazing hidden gem. The food is reasonable. The wait staff was knowledgeable. The first time I came to town we were welcomed as if we were old friends that went away for a long time and just came home. Try the lumberjack breakfast, the sausages are the best.

Been here a few times. Ladies are nice, food is good, decent price. I'll keep going as long as I'm in the area.

Great place and very affordable. One of the great places to eat and the service is great and they are very friendly. .

I don't know how a previous reviewer called Bus Stop expensive. For generally less than $15 I get salad, soup, main course and dessert. And dinner time includes fresh baked corn muffins- mmm. All this equals 2 meals at least when I pack up my extras. Always a friendly come on in and have a seat feeling. A Carteret tradition and worth considering.
