I have been living in Battery Park for over two years and we love this place and Steve the owner. Maybe its because I am an Aussie and love a chat also. Steve has always recommended wines and spirits and the selection maybe less commercial then other stores but they have quality wines and the prices are good. Tell Steve I sent you and ask him for a recommendation in your price range.

As everyone else says, staff is rude and selection is poor. Much better of crossing the street to West Street Wine shop. Don't know how these guys stay in business.

The selection is just OK and overpriced. The owner is always curt and doesn't seem to want the business. Go across West Street, they have a larger selection and will give much better prices, plus the owner over there is always friendly.

Besides the mediocre wine selection and rude/condescending staff, the prices are ridiculously high and delivery slow. As a BPC resident, you can walk across West Street and find better prices and selection. And the purchase minimum for credit cards is ridiculous, $19 (if not against their contracts). I won't spend another dime in a store where my business is decidedly not appreciated.
