The hours on their google listing are wrong. It says they close at 3 pm on Sunday but they actually close at 2 pm. We arrived at 2:30 pm to pick up our rental but they were closed. When we called the phone number for this location there was no after hours number or way to contact the owner. When we called budget customer service they were unable to find us a comparable rental that day. We showed up first thing Monday morning when they opened and they refused to honor our confirmation and would only rent a car to us for over $200 more than our original reservation. The customer service was terrible, they were slow, and uninterested in our situation and barely lifted a finger to help. And the place was dirty. It looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in months. They gave me a 1-800 number to budget because they said that they weren't authorized to honor our reservation. When I spoke with Budget the customer service rep told me that she wasn't authorized to honor the reservation and that only the local budget office could do that (the people who just told me the opposite). When I pointed this contradiction out she then gave me a phone number for customer service (she was from reservations) but they didn't open up till 7:30 AM Central (it was 8 AM Eastern). I then just went on Hotwire, and in 5 min found a reservation for another budget 10 minutes away for $50 less than my original reservation. Thanks for nothing Budget!

WORST SERVICE EVER !
Truck Had Many Problems I was moving to Florida and the AC did not work called about 20 times they were so rude and unhelpful never again will i use budget I will stick to uhaul they were just full at the time i wanted to move that I had to use budget WORSE EVER.

Given the previous reviews I was quite intrepid about renting from this location, but I was more than rewarded for taking the chance. First, this location was the most affordable for the type of vehicle I needed. Second, I was given an upgrade to a better vehicle than what I contracted for. Third, the vehicle worked perfectly and when I returned it I was treated to a five minute return process that resulted in no extra charges (they could have got me for a couple of things). I would rent from this location again in a second. Thank you guys!

This is corporate location so 50% of the blame has to go to Avis/Budget corporate worldwide for allowing this person to run such a dangerous location.
I rented at Newark airport and the car was fine, however, two days later the right rear tire was very low on air. December 10th 2013 it was snowing heavy about 5:30 PM when I I pulled in and said theres a problem with one of the tires, it is dangerously low on air. The manager and co-worker never got up to look or offered to change out the car. They sat there like two S**T-HEADS and said we just clean-em and send them out. I asked what is the oil is low or a loose tire, or low on air. The reply "we just clean-em and send them out". I called corporate while in the lot and they just said go to another location. Bottom line Avis/Budget worldwide corporate I believe allows about 50% of their cars go out putting consumers in harms way and they could care less. That night I spoke to Brian from corporate who was gonna call me back later that night or for sure by the next day to make sure I got things corrected and to let me know why Paramus New Jersey location is a dangerous place to rent a car from, he never called to this day. Pay the extra money and use a reliable rental car company, its putting your life in some assholes hands who could care less.

Total rip off beware. They told me that scratches on the car were caused by me and wanted to bill me three grand for repairs even though I paid for insurance and the scratches were there before I got the car. I took photos so I had proof. But this was a total waste of time.
