Buddakan

This was by far the most memorable experience my girlfriend and I shared during our stay in NYC. If you're going as a couple, make sure to order one thing at the time as each dish comes as a family size, so don't be shy about sharing a bunch of different things. The pork buns and the Lo Mein Noodles were plenty for two and enchantingly flavourful. We treated ourselves with their almond bread with butterscotch cream for dessert and it was the best thing I've ever tasted.

The atmosphere was very chic and cool and the service was impeccable: the staff were very nice and our waitress gave great suggestions without any insistence on following a specific format.

Don't forget to reserve a couple days in advance (we went on a weeknight so it was easy for us) and you're really in for something exquisitely unique.

The decor is gorgeous, the cocktails are incredibly tasty (and strong!) and the food is amazing. Bit pricey but great for a special occasion.

Fun spot for small or even large group. The dishes are creative and there are even options for vegetarians and those with food allergies. This is a trendy restaurant in a trendy neighborhood so prepare for a festive time.

The food and ambience here is amazing! They have so much variety, and everything is great. I loved the tuna tartare spring rolls and the edamame dumplings. I tried about half of their appetizers, and all were delicious. For their entrees, I tried four dishes, but the broken chicken and the sole were just perfect. I would one hundred percent recommend this to anyone in the area, but be wary of the high prices.

Great ambiance and really creative fusion of modern Asian cuisine. Air conditioning runs on max at all times, so have a jacket or a sweatshirt. Drinks are pricey. Expect to spend $100+ when two are dining.
