I lived in Lodi just shy of 4 years ago, my family and I would go here to get pizza, wings, etc. I ordered food for my children this evening, and when the food arrived it was horrific, no flavor, just plain old nasty, and bland. I called because I was confused as to why such a drastic change. The quote, on quote owner answered the phone, I asked if this was the same Ray's Pizza? He said it was formerly known as Ray's Pizza, and was owned by Ray, he the new owner is Ray's brother-in-law and he bought the business from Ray. I said. "Oh that explained it because, the food I orderd even down to the pizza was nasty, the wings didn't even have any taste, or flavor, not even salt." This man said, "thank you for telling me but you have to be the one to tell us to season the wings!" I said, "What?" He said yes you have to tell us to season the wings because, we order them and when it comes in we just prepare them as is. If you the customer tells us to season it we will. Lol Is this for real? He also informed me that the mozzarella sticks were too expensive for him to order and he wasn't making any money so now he tries to make them personally by himself, to cut cost. Wow this by far is the worst place I have eaten in a looooooong time. Buyer beware horrible food, and an obnoxious owner, equals bad distasteful food, and tramatized customers. Just don't go here to eat, in fact don't even go here to use the bathroom, in fact McDonalds mozzarella sticks are 5 star rating in comparison to this horrific, flavorless, nasty, tasteless food.

The pizza is very delicious here

Pasta & chicken had slight taste of clam sauce. I saw the counter guy pick anchovies out of a pizza with his bare hands ("Look Ma, no gloves!"), and slide the pizza into place for sale as a plain pie. Hope no-one's allergic. Hope I don't get sick. Thanks but no.

I had their pizza awhile ago, sometime last year. It came fresh and hot out of the oven. Fast friendly service.

My wife called them today and ordered us a small seafood pie with red sauce. When she called she talked to Dut-ta-do. My wife told her " Hi, I would like to place an order for a small seafood pie, red. " Dut-ta-do asked for the phone number. My wife gave her the number. At this time some other conversation is happening about the number and the address. As I sit listening to this I knew that I should have canceled the order. It's as if you can tell the future, but not too much of it, just a bit, enough to send you down a different path. Nope, not me, full steam ahead stupid. Mistake.

So now after the 30 -45 minute wait we were told, the pizza guy calls an hour and 15 later... and asks what is the address. I tell him, and he pulls up in his bat-mobile and hands me cold box.
I hand bat-man his money and tip and off he goes.

I go upstairs and know this pizza is cold, the bottom of the box is cold. ( it's 55 degrees out)

I open the box and it's white, not red, and VERY skimpy on the seafood.

My wife wanted to call up and complain, I decided not to, and come here and tell you my story instead.

Now I'm not sure, this place IMO can be hit or miss.

I like Ray's very much. The food is top choice and a very good price. I have no complaints about here at all and i know i will return often.
