Good people , Good service

I wanted to support my local, hardworking small businessman. It's top news how they suffer so badly- retail chains sucking the life out of them and the ever increasing costs of doing business.
I sent my daughter in to pick up a couple of things at Brown's, because it's hard to park on Main St although Brown's has a convenient back parking lot and entrance. I needed bags and belts for my Hoover.
Several days later I was looking through receipts and noticed that the bill for the vacuum supplies was $34! I called the shop owner and he confirmed the prices I'd paid were correct.
It cost me more than twice as much than it would have to go on line and have them sent to me direct to my door. No gas, no wear and tear on the car. At those prices, Brown's is clearly saying "I don't need your business"
I would have paid more. But not SO much more.
