I don't EVER write reviews for anything, I'm more of a reader than a writer but I had to say something about Brookville Animal Hospital. I was recommended by a friend to check this place out after getting a puppy and moving to Syosset. At first, I saw Dr. Webb who was extremely friendly and caring with all the puppy shots. Everyone who worked there I could tell loved to be around animals, not just the cute little puppies that came in.
About a year later, my puppy bit into a wire and electrocuted himself while we were at work and came home to a 'shitstorm' of emotions. I immediately called the Brookville Animal Hospital around 530pm as they were still open at that time and they saw him right away. They treated him with the utmost care and professionalism that I was completely taken away by. I always had this thought that vets were like car mechanics trying to find every little thing to charge you money for but this place is the exact opposite. They were telling me the best care and ways to save money doing so.
They saved his life. They prevented infection from spreading and getting out of hand meanwhile not automatically giving the dog vicodin-like meds and put some thought into selecting the right meds for pain.
This happened almost 2 months ago and he is almost 100%. They even did oral surgery on him realizing that the damage was worse thought after delving further into his mouth and immediately suggested a specialist for him admitting first hand that it was out of their league of expertise. They called the place up and made an appt for me the very next day and got the problem solved. Instead of doing the surgery and telling me everything is ok or trying to fix a problem that they couldn't fix, they were completely HONEST...
Again, they saved my dog's life and I am forever grateful... a super friendly staff and always accommodating, all vets should take notes from this place. i will never take my dog anywhere else and would never not suggest any other place to anyone else.
Thank you Dr. Fectow / Dr. Webb - keep up the good work!
