Used to be good...but have disappeared..with our paid for glasses. Phone calls emails texts not returned.

I presented Dan with a pair of glasses with a broken frame 5 months ago, I have still not received them (repaired or otherwise). These glasses were purchased for $560 at Brooklyn Eye Works. After a month or so, they stopped returning my calls, texts, or emails. When I would stop in at the store for follow up, Dan would tell me that the glasses were still at the manufacturer, and they were not responding.

Have tried to make appointments at the new address several times, again no response.

I have been a faithful an happy customer of this establishment for years Service was never the promptest, but the quality of work was excellent, lenses as well as frames. It is with some sadness that I post this review.

STAY AWAY!

My husband spent a large amount of money on services and products at Brooklyn Eyeworks, and has requested a receipt several times to no avail. We have literally been to the storefront 4 times and have requested a receipt for our insurance every time, to which we have been told it will be emailed to us, yet we have still received nothing. We have tried calling several times, and nobody has returned our phone calls. The quality of the product and service is great, and the people are very friendly.

The people who work here really love what they do. Dr. Ritenour is extremely helpful, friendly, and his advice is informative. You can get your glasses here or a contact lens fitting. The place is a little small but I'd still recommend Brooklyn Eyeworks Optical to anyone who lives in Park Slope.

Great troubleshooting, patience, and customer service.
They did a great job and are extremely thorough if a problem should occur. I went in to get glasses and contacts, and there are two different exams for that. Dr. Ritenour pays attention and makes sure you get exactly the right kind of lens. They were really busy, but very patiently assisted me in finding the best frames for me. I had an issue with the measurement of something in the focal area and they took a few more measurements before my new indestructible Cryzal lenses were placed into my new titanium frames and polished so it looks like !. For the contacts, they do the research for you on finding the most inexpensive and reliable online service. Thank you Brooklyn Eyeworks Optical!!
