I have shopped at this store for the last 12 years. They have all the major and high-end brands and on a class of its own. It's eye candy for gear junkies. If you are looking to buy a bike, ask for Felix. I have dealt with him for 10 years, and he's one of the best in the business. He always gives you the proper advise on what will work for you.

Great little bike shop. Intelligent workers, and great location.

Honestly, I should've known better from their name alone. They're a bike SELLING shop not a bike REPAIRING shop.
A little background, I brought my new bike in for a tune up the other day even though I had been told by some friends that they don't do great work. I figured that I just need some general work done and that it shouldn't be a problem. The price was about average for bike shops in the area.
Fast forward to the day of pick up and I get a phone call saying that they had broken the stem of my bike IN HALF and would need to replace it. I tell them to go ahead and replace it and that it's no big deal. When I went to pick up my bike, they charged me $30 to replace the bike stem's faceplate. They refused to give me a refund or let me take my bike. Essentially they purposely broke a piece of my bike to make it unusable and then charged me $30. They claimed it was a fault of the manufacturer; but as I remember the manufacturer didn't sell me a broken in half face plate.
Gerard was extremely rude and condescending, and when I explained that that was an obvious fault of the repairman - I believe his name was Christian- I was met with an apathetic stare. He also stated, oddly, that if I had just bought my bike from them that this "wouldn't have been a problem". So, if you want to get swindled into needless parts and repairs, Brooklyn Bike Peddler may be a good shop for you.
******If you want honest work done, I would recommend staying away.******
