Brooklyn Beer & Soda

Walking inside BB&S can be pretty overwhelming if you don't know exactly want, but it can also leave you feeling like a kid in a candy store. Want to grab a few cold six packs? No problem. Want to load a truck with an amount of beer or soda that requires a heavy duty rolling cart? They got you covered. Whether you just want a single beer or want to get enough to blackout into oblivion, you won't find a better place to accommodate you. Staff is very friendly as well!

prices seem no better than a bodega. unprofessional, ghetto type of mentality. one would do well to look further for beer. these people are aware they are the only beer joint in that area. not a good experience.

This is my go-to beer store. The people working here are really friendly but not that knowledgeable about beer except for the owners (husband and wife) who are awesome. Still the rest of the staff always tries their best which is rare among beer stores nowadays. Don't expect any frills otherwise as the place is literally a warehouse. The word here is selection. They recently took over the adjacent store front (awning is still up) just to expand further. If you want to buy beer in bulk around this area, this is where you should get it as their prices tend to be lower. On other items their pricing can be uneven but generally competitive. Either way if you're looking for something specific they'll tend to have it; if not, they actually will try and order it if you ask. If there's a beer that hits NYC, in all likelihood they will get it at some point. The only negatives here are that they do gouge a bit on some rarities (ex. Firestone Walker limited releases), there are some items that sit out for awhile (check dates, this can work in your favor sometimes though), and some of the stock sits where there is a bit too much sunlight for my tastes. These are significant drawbacks but in light of the pluses Brooklyn Beer still ends up being a great place in my opinion.

They have ton of great beers, but they keep many of them close to a series of transparent windows. I fear for all the good beers they skunked.
