I have been around, lived in different states, had some good and some bad experiences, but Brooklawn gardens in Wayne is by far the most disgusting and horrible experience i ever had.
No professionalism, not any kind of customer service, its as if you are renting an apartment and all there is between you and them is rent at the end of the month and God help you if you are 1 day late!
They never answer the phone or help out during the month until the rent is due.
Even their management company, you call to ask about anything related to rent, people sound like they were sleeping, barely answer you back, attitude to the max! horrible service.
Maintenance is horrible, the fridge started freezing the food i threw away a huge amount of goods, then they came to fix it the engineer (supposedly) dropped the temperature and for the next 3 weeks we had to deal with constant leaks in the fridge also destroying fruits and vegetables and bread, until the maintenance guy showed up again 3 weeks after.
The AC is totally 1979, I mean the least you can do is get new appliances for people who are renting, bad AC, bad fridge, no lights in the living room or bedroom you have to get your own lamp (so if you don't own a lamp get ready to spend 200$ on that).
Finally, BUGS!!!!! EVERYWHERE! I mean really do something about this!
I couldn't wait for my lease to be over to move out, anywhere even the ghetto is more convenient and comfortable, i rented an apartment for 200$ in Wayne as well, much much much better appliances and service, at least they have a pool, basketball court, pets are allowed etc...
Oh and by the way, read your lease well before signing, they do not allow you to break the lease under any circumstance, even if relocation due to work or family emergency or whatever, until the 12 month lease period is paid in FULL!
