Awesome area near the waterfront with plenty of dining options such as Hudson Eats and Le District. There's also great art programming such as musical performances and film screenings that use the indoor and outdoor spaces very well. Sometimes I forget about the shopping that's actually in the building. They are on the higher end of luxury type of stores but the large open space is inviting for anyone to walk through even if there is no intention of shopping. Love the staircase and indoor palm trees.

First time at this mall and I was impressed. High end stores and some nice places to eat although a little pricey but they are good. Was not crowded on the Sunday that I went. If you want to eat and shop and get out of the heat this is a good place to kill a few hours.

Very nice place to visit. Especially the Waterfront Plaza is great to sit and enjoy the view in the evening. We were lucky enough to be there during the Rooftop Films 2016. Great openair film festival of a short NYC docu.

The mall complex is beautifully designed, with artful architecture and glass work inside the building. The stores are lined in a convenient way, and navigating from one side to the next is incredibly easy. The overall mall is kept clean and not too noisy, and there are plenty of places to work or rest on the first floor. It also conveniently connects to the PATH trains and subways, and is located in a prime shopping area in the Financial District. A short walk takes you to the Hudson or even to the Oculus.

You really don't feel like you're in Manhattan when you're at Brookfield Place. That isn't a bad thing at all. Quite the contrary, this coming from a native New Yorker.
If you're lucky, there might be a performance in the atrium. Looking up at the palm trees and glass ceiling which allows the light to pour in during the day, it's a very aesthetically pleasing place to visit. The evening sun pours golden beams of light into the atrium. Picturesque.
There's a shop, eatery, or place to simply sit for everyone, both inside and outside.
