Treat your loved one/s with good care and respect. EMERITUS is a cosmetic farce. They'll perform and show you what they want you to see in order to gain your trust when you stop in for a feel for the place. IF you choose to use Emeritus home (in Paramus NJ) for your loved one, you are NOT making a sound choice but perhaps a desperate or hasty one! Grandmother's necklace was stolen within the 1st day she was there. Her rings were still on though, and luckily my mother took her out of there before they were stolen too, and MOST IMPORTANTLY before she was hurt or neglected further than she was. Also, they didn't give water to her. Drinking water makes you pee, and if the residents don't pee as often they won't have to change as many diapers. So, grandmother got dehydrated. Glad she was taken out of there within the first week. Hopefully you will investigate further and find a better establishment.

Emeritus Ocoee is a beautiful residence for Seniors. As we first drove up to the residence, my parent said that "This looks like home". The decor is elegant yet comfortable & the staff are warm, friendly & very professional. The meals are excellent. There are plenty of educational & fun activities daily. Emeritus Ocoee emphasizes Brain Health which includes mental stimulation, physical exercise, good nutrition, social connectedness, and spirituality. The programs & activities available to the residents relect that focus.I would definitely recommend Emeritus Ocoee to any senior looking for a caring and stimulating community.My parent has a lovely private apartment with the amenities of home but without the stress or responsilbility of living alone.
The other residents are also happy to be here & they help & encourage each other.We always see smiling faces. Thank you Emeritus Ocoee for a job well done!
