Brookdale Apartments

worst appts ever! full of roaches bed bugs! supper is so rude! and mangment dont care at all! waste of money and peace and rest!

I lived here for 1 year and I kind'a like this place. Here are the pro's and con's of this apartment:
Pros:
1) Free heat, water, sewer, trash and parking.
2) Cheap rent
3) Spacious houses
4) Onsite maintainence crew
5) Quiet neighborhood
6) Extremely easy commute to NYC

Cons:
1) Laundry service in the apartment is a joke. You will have to do your laundry somewhere else. It is dirty and never cleaned
2) The Super, Willy is a very rude person, who will ask money for everything. My friend wanted a heavy duty stroller, which just kept in the maintainence room, for shifting the house, Willy asked him $20 for "renting" the stroller. I tried calling the management about this, but no one really cares.
3) Some of my took some matresses from Trash and brought bed bugs in to the apartment. Eventhough it is not the apartment's fault, I think they should have some sort of covered trash so that cheapo's would not scavange stuff from trash.
4) These apartments are very old buildings. There are few cracks and broken walls, which needs to be fixed.
5) The parking space is very limited, and I have seen people from cab companies taking up 5 spots leaving the residents without any parking spots. Again no one from the management really cares about these sort of stuff
6) There are 3 people for maintainence, but only one person is nice. If you have anything to be done, say that to the african american gentleman (sorry, I don't know his name). He is very nice and helpful. The latino guy and the super are very dumb, stupid and rude.
7) Some of the common areas are not clean

Having said all the above, I still think I would probably live in these apartments again, if I get a chance.
