I have been Voulenteering at the Bronx Documentary Center since i graduated highschool. The staff here are like family who are very PASSIONATE and HARDWORKING. I admire and look up to the progress from opening up this center to a neighborhood that is in great need of cultural influence. The BDC provides this for the community and me as well. I also live in the neighborhood and i know many people who began to become more interested in the arts, photography, and even activism. The youth is also being provided with rich experience that can push them towards their dream of doing the things they love. I will always continue to be apart of the BDC team!

As a Bronx native, I can honestly say that the Bronx Documentary Center could be located anywhere where the focus on humanity, social justice and fascinating film work on pop culture is considered an intergral part of the land scape and fabric of life. We are just lucky enough to have it located in the Bronx where it is paving the way to more places like it in the future. Kudos to Michael Kamber and Danielle Jackson for their forward thinking. The Bx. is on the rise!
