They're lauded for their Nutella babka, and I will continue to shout its praises from all the soapboxes I can find. Soft, flaky, deeply chocolatey, and without any crumble topping (personal preference). They travel and freeze well. I've had them muled to me via friends, shipped cross-country, and bought fresh (I always stop by whenever I'm in NYC). Their chocolate rugelach is also incredibly delicious with a soft flaky bite and lots of chocolatey layers (I've bought fresh and shipped). This cheapo even bought one of their tote bags! True love indeed.

The cheese straws are a must here! They are buttery flakiness that you will want to eat all day long. Do yourself a favor, buy one and go to the back and ask them to heat it up. You will not regret it.

Babka, when fresh, is amazing. After a day, it's whatever.

Spinach and feta bureka is quite possibly the most tasty savory pastry I've ever had. Do not, please, do not skip this.

Pricey.

Entering Breads Bakery a smile always appears on my face.
Delicious food (I have gotten to try their Babkas, salads, sandwiches, and challas, and more) and a very welcoming atmosphere make it my wife and I's favorite bakery in NYC.
This is the place to go whether you are only looking for a snack, for a light and healthy meal, or for bread and sweets to bring back to the house!

Heavenly baked treats and sandwiches, worth every penny. You can tell quality ingredients are used and they bake with care. The chocolate babka, croissants and cinnamon buns are my favorite. Nice place to meet a friend for a coffee.
