My surprise bridal shower was held at Boulevard Five 72. The host (Josh) was wonderful in getting me upstairs for what I thought was a wine tasting. The service was excellent. The staff was attentive & helpful.
The food was delicious! The brunch setup consisted of various breakfast items (french toast, pancakes, bacon, sausage, etc.) There was paelha, roast beef & turkey. Bagels, salmon and an omelete station. Mini canolis & cakes were also s

First time 10/10/2012...was in the area for work trip. Went in for lunch....was very impressed and will certainly return if/when I get in that area again.
Since I was solo, I was offered my choice of a table, or the bar where a BB game was on the tv. That showed some conscience thinking/anticipation of the guest's needs/desires. I found it very professional of the server to offer the choice, since he was effectively giving away a sale, especially on a slow day. ( A lot of servers will try to get as many tables as they can so just they can make $...).
Charlie at the bar was quite a pleasant conversationalist. He recommended the lunch prix fixe menu which I did choose ($24 for a choice of starter and entree...dessert is a plate of mini pastries), although the regular lunch menu offered a very good selection.
I chose the Wild Mushroom Ravioli starter and the Goat Cheese Stuffed Chicken breast. Both were expertly crafted with notable culinary skill. The mushroom stuffed ravis were presented in a cloud of foamed cream and topped with a very delicately sauteed melange of mushrooms; the Chicken breast was presented on a bed of wilted spinach, a drizzle of demi-glace and perfectly cooked mushroom risotto.
I do not know if the risotto was the standard accompaniment for the chicken, but if the chef had decided to plate mine this way....he effectively and deftly tied the appetizer to the entree..which tells me that he or she is definitely NOT asleep at the wheel. :)
11 out of ten. A very nice dining experience.
