Here it goes! short and simple: PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, SAVE TIME, MONEY AND A LOT OF HEADACHE BY NOT DOING ANY BUSINESS WHATSOEVER WITH MR. ROBERTS AND/OR BOSTON TV SERVICE. Please read bellow and you will understand why. By the way I have proof of everything. Such as Civil court case #, receipts, etc...
On July 2013, YES!!! 2013... I took two HDTV's for repair to this shop. ( I had an electrical surge at home) Mr. Roberts (Owner) told me both TV's could be fixed. I just needed to pay a deposit or checking fee and then he will tell me what is wrong with the TV, such as what parts are needed, and what is the total amount for the TV to be fixed.
Two weeks after I dropped off the First TV, Mr. Roberts called me, he said the main board was burned and needed a new one. Fine I paid for the part the same day he called me, and then the total balance for the first TV when I picked it up. The First TV was fixed within 3 weeks. I was happy at that moment since the second TV which was better,(3D) bigger and more expensive was fixable as well. (According to Mr. Roberts, the expert and technician on fixing TV's). After I picked up the first TV, he told me to wait two weeks for his call so he can let me know for sure what is the problem with the Second TV.
I waited around 3 weeks. I called Mr. Roberts/Boston TV Service. I told them I have not received any phone call regarding the Second TV. One of the technician said they were still working on it and they needed more time. I called back 2 weeks after that, same excuse, same story. This time I was getting really anxious. So I decided to let them call me back in two weeks... Nothing, at around weeks after the least time I talked to them. I received the one and only call I have received in a year about the condition of the TV. Mr. Roberts asked me for the money so he could buy the main board which he said it was the only part that needed to be changed. I went a day after gave him almost 300 hundred dollars (deposit+cost of the part). He then told me he will call me as soon its ready, probably in two weeks.
On September I decided to call Boston TV Service again. Mr. Roberts told me they are still working with the TV, because they ordered the main board but it was damaged, so he needed time to request a new one. I kept calling, and he always had an excuse, the TV was not ready yet.
A year almost passed, On April I visit the store in person, Mr. Roberts did not show me the TV, I told him I wanted my TV back and the money I have paid already. He refused to give me the whole amount I have already paid him. I left and decided to not to let this person steal my money and my property.
I took Mr. Roberts and Boston TV Service to the Civil Court/Small Claim Court. I sued him for what I have paid for the TV, since he never returned the TV, either the money I gave him. He will have to pay me by order of the judge. I hope he learned his lesson. DONT STEAL FROM THE HARD WORKING PEOPLE. THAT IS NOT THE WAY TO DO BUSINESS.
