I dont know whether to rate this site or not. Im a new student at bmcc and im already experiencing bad situations. Im a wheelchair dependent meaning that i am permanently using a wheelchair. When i applied to this school and i registered i was told i was going to be ok and that my classes were in one school. 2 weeks ago i came in to pick up my schedule for the new semester and I find to my surprise that i have to travel to 3! Different schools in three different locations. I felt totoally lost and disappointed because of the fact that when i came to visit this school it seemed nice and big but, i cannot believe that what im experiencing is a nightmare. The fact that i have to move to different places is frustrating but, the worst thing is that they dont accomadate you as best as possible. Since i have a permanent wheelchair and i cant move at all the school does not have the proper seating, the chair and the desk are attached to eachother and i have to forcefully lean so that i am able to write. I have back problems im in severe pain and i require an appropiate seating. Another issue i have with the school is the assistance. I have personal stuff with me that i heavly have to carry in a regular basis and when i ask is there any place where i can store my stuff and the responses i recieve from the people is a simple no and they turn around and continue with their work. When i go into a different school the elevator doesnt work. I had to miss class on in order for someone to help me. 3 security people sitting upstairs doing nothing and when i ask are they going to help me or not the only response i gget is "hold on, hold on hold on" and never came. I feel so disapointed and left out that i want to move to another school and make a complain to a social worker because this cant keep on happening. Im not the only one whose different. This school like any other school should be designed for people like me who are wanting to really be something in life but, instead they are being ignored because they simply dont care and theyre putting us down.

The school is OK. My biggest issue was with admissions all the women there were rude and acted like they had every right to turn their noses up to students asking them questions. It seemed like they were trying to prevent students from attending BMCC. I've been there twice and both times I was shown no patience, help in getting into the school (I got more reasons why I couldn't enroll even though I qualified in everything), and no respect . Not only that but I was given false information both times I would've walked out of that school and never turn back had it not been a last resort for me. I am 100% sure that I will not be staying here the full academic year just because of the arrogance they school board allows to work in such positions.
Honestly I don't think anyone wants to get a degree from a place like this, or even contemplate going here.

Thank you so much!

I moved to Williamsburg Brooklyn and needed an affordable college to attend on a short notice, and BMCC seemed the easiest to get to by subway and decently affordable. I have never encountered a college with such disgraceful lack of organization. Do not call any numbers provided for you online. They people that answer the phones from the online numbers never once gave me correct information. If you ask where a certain room is located, or even a room number for a specific room they will just make up a room number. Signing up for classes and registration was the most painful experience, and all of the other students experienced similar situations. They lost my transcript the first time I gave it to them, which I didn't find out until about a week before the semester started. In order for them to receive my transcript again and apply my transfer credits, I had to sit through long lines of students. I sat in a room for almost 2 hours, and was then told to go to a different room that was empty.
By far the worst experience I've ever had with a school. Unprofessional and disorganized staff and school, and professors who could care less about their job and students.

Best community college in the city. Diverse pupil, wide range of facilities, overwhelming club activities, opportunities to visit places with college funding, friendly teachers, best place of the city with corporate atmosphere, overall a nice college experience. Only shortcoming is that the rude and unfriendly behavior of some stuff.
