Boqueria Flatiron

I have been coming here regularly for 3 years. Having tried many tapas places in the city this place is still consistently the best. The bar area is my favorite place to sit so you can look at some of the tapas that they have on the counter as well as the guy behind the bar making them. They have a large set list of tapas and dishes that they make year-round (favorites are the patatas bravas and boquerones) as well as a list of tapas that change seasonally. I have never been even remotely disappointed with a single dish here. The vibe and decor help lend an authentic feel, which means it is usually very packed and very loud and the bartenders and servers are always super friendly. Having been to Barcelona twice, I can say this place is the real deal.

Space - 0 stars -They try to fit as many tables as possible so seating is extremely tight and uncomfortable.
Food - 2 stars - we are party of 5 and did the $45 prefix. It consist of tapas and paella at the end. The tapas was meh. Lots of potatoes. Paella is greasy and dried. Dessert was a joke. Consist of 1 small churros per person.
Service - not spectacular. They didnt come to ask how our food was. Our meals was distracted by the host coming to ask our friend to shift her chair sideways because the space was tight. Excuse me? then the light went out above our table. AGAIN, they ask 2 of our friends to get up so they can change light bulb WHAT?
