Bad bus condition, no seat belt, no outlet for charging, and seats could not recline. Horrible bus drivers, all rude.
Was late for my bus yesterday for 2 minutes, saw the driver closed the door and basically was begging him to open. He just keep saying no and drove away! It was a 5 hour ride and no bus available after that. Did bolt bus train their bus driver be heartless and clod blooded!? I understand that I was being late, but really? 2 minutes!!?

The BUS is really comfortable. It has good leg room. Outlets not available for all seats. Wi-Fi is a joke. You'll be better off with your hot-spot

This is by far one of the worst ride of my life, first of all they made a mistake on my reservation then I had to pay double the price to change it 40 $ for a 19 $ trip, not only that it took an agonizing 30 minute on the phone to make the changes because their stupid website does not allow you to make those changes. When I asked for the same trip but different day they told me it's sold out so I asked for the closest trip to that time they gave me a trip which takes off 3 hours after my original booking saying it's the only one available (only to find out by myself online after I booked that one that two other trips were available with better schedules. But that's ok I had no other choice, so I got to the bus and it was a sticky warm whole with poor ventilation and a very weak AC, everyone sweating like hell and sticking smells of body odors and food but that's not all, we asked for the Wifi (written on my ticket available) the guy replies bluntly (I don't think it works) so I said to myself it doesn't matter I'll use my own data just let me charge my phone, then reality hit me again no freaken plugs, only few number of them were available in certain seats (assigned randomly) so you had to go looking around the bus creeping on ppl and ask them if you could leave your phone charged near them (which I choose not to do). It didn't end here the ride was half an hour late so I enjoyed this sticky smelly ride looking at the roof with no phone for extra 30 minutes. Bottom line if you are poor and enjoy stinky smells this is your ride otherwise you are and idiot if you book it because for the same price you can find a far more superior option

I use BoltBus as a way to get to the DMV area. It's the cheapest option, so affordability-wise, it ranks high. However, for everything else, it kind of falls flat. Take for instance the bus stop. This location is actually decent considering that the other stop is in Midtown by the Javits Center which until recently wasn't exactly close to an MTA Subway stop. Another thing to note about the location; comparing it to the 33th street location, there are shops that are close by just in case you need to grab something before the 4 hour ride... and I suggest you do grab something before the ride. Depending on the time and where you're going, they may or may not stop at the rest stop. On my previous trip, they didn't stop at a rest stop to Washington DC, but stopped on the way back. So, if you're the type that can't wait 4 hours for a snack, better plan ahead. The stop at Washington DC is surprisingly pleasant.

Also, the Wifi is a bit spotty at times. Will this bus have wifi or not? It's pretty random. You might want to look for a "Karma" hotspot tho. Someone always seem to carry one on those buses. ;)

The buses themselves are subpar... acceptable enough to be comfortable, but not as comfortable as their parent company buses.

Long story short, if you want an affordable way to get to Washington DC or other major locations, BoltBus is the way to go. However, if you want nice customer service and convenience, it's better to actually pay more for a Greyhound... which by the way, owns Bolt.

If I could give this bus company negative stars I would. When I bought my ticket I was promised wifi, working outlets and air conditioning, which sounded fabulous for the such a cheap ticket. However, my bus had none of those things. The air conditioning was broken, which resulted it the bus feeling like a sauna, the wifi was nonexistent and my outlet didn't work at all. This meant that I arrived to my destination with a phone on less than 10%, which is slightly dangerous in a big city late at night. There are other bus companies with the same prices that are much better.
