Body By Berle has changed my life. I tried BBB because I was in constant pain and lacking energy. I felt as I was deteriorating. I no longer ice my arthritic knees to relieve the daily swelling caused by walking to and from work and PennStation. I starting walking with energy and dramatically less pain after 2 weeks of half hour training twice a week! After 20 days of training I sleep well every night, wake up pain free, energetic and with a sense of purpose and confidence. Richard and the BBB personal trainers are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I recommend strength training to everyone and at BBB you get the guidance and encouragement to get the most out of your workout. I'm learning from Richard, Jeff and Mindy how to get off sugar and get and stay fit. Val keeps me focus and pushing me further.

Richard Berle has identified the perfect workout; efficient and productive in a low key, clean and quiet space. The dedicated personal trainers motivate performance and endurance with serious enthusiasm and no judgment. In only a few months by strengthening my muscles with Berle I have been able to resolve lower back and hip pain that has plagued me for years! Who knew that strength training would accomplish what Pilates, Tai Chi and aerobics had not been able to for me!

I really can't say enough good things about this place. The staff is excellent, and I enjoy training with them. I lost a ton of weight, but I needed toning badly, and in a very short time, I was amazed at how much better I felt and looked! Richard Berle is extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, and cares about his clients. Body By Berle is a gem of a gym.

I drive 45 minutes from Suffolk County to go to Body By Berle and I believe it is worth every cent I have invested and every second of my time because the return on investment is PRICELESS!
This is the only place near Long Island, that I am aware of, that practices a truly beneficial program (backed by Science, not hear say) for health and fitness. It is one that safely and effectively works all the major muscle groups in the body. Body By Berle understand the inadequacies of calisthenics and the dangers of “functional” exercises that mimic the skills of a sport while using weights or balancing acts. What Richard Berle, the owner, practices and teaches is exercises on properly designed machines for all the major muscle groups based on muscle and joint function in a manner that strengthens without being unnecessarily hard on the joints. It is done one -on-one with a trainer. My trainer Mindy is 100% focused on me and making sure that I am performing the exercises in proper form, at an effective pace and pushing as hard as I possibly can. The zone that she successfully brings me to during every work out is beyond anything I could do without her (and I have been certified in personal training). The staff times and tracks your progress and keeps you focused. They also encourage proper recovery times and diet regimens to get the absolute most out of the workouts. The work outs are brief but unforgivably tough, so if you are looking for a social event to enjoy this is not for you! Oh yea, and not only do I work out 90% less then recommended by other gyms but I am seeing results I have been hoping for my entire life. I am stronger, I have more energy, and I am leaner and firmer than I ever have been without doing ANY cardio!

I recommend everyone give Body By Berle a chance to make your life better. I am in the US Air Force and went here to prepare for basic training and I continue to come every time I take vacation back to Queens. The trainers are very friendly but they push and motivate you to achieve beyond what you think your body is capable of. An added bonus, the workouts are in half hour sessions and sometimes even faster! Do not let that short amount of time fool you though your entire body will get worked out. Being in the military you are conditioned to all different types of physical training but the type of training done at Body By Berle is second to none. After talking to the owner, Richard Berle, a few times learning how compassionate he was and the science behind these workouts I was sold.
The gym has a great environment and from my experiences I have seen trainers working with 13 year old's all the way to individuals in their 80's so there is no reason to be shy. It also helps that there is a huge parking lot and the gym is right off the LIE.
