Really helpful beginner classes and devoted teachers in a cozy brownstone. Slightly earnest crunchy vibe, but I ignore that and also sort of expect it from Park Slope yoga studio.

While I have never been to the studio in Park Slope, I have gone on a retreat with Vivekan, Jess and 11 students from this studio. I found Vivekan to be an energetic, caring and knowledgeable teacher. I learned so much about my practice and how to properly get into poses. I was able to get into poses I had never done before. I became fast friends with the students on the retreat, being one of the few "outsiders" it would have been very easy to feel left out but that was not at all the case. I can't wait to go to the studio in Park Slope and take a class - I only wish I lived closer so this could be my regular place to practice.
