Bob is a musician's musician. He has a superior educational background, and is in his fifth decade of playing professionally.
But more importantly for students, Bob is a teacher's teacher. He has been teaching the guitar for more than 30 years. Through his vast teaching experience, he has distilled the complex task of learning guitar into a series of well planned, simple to understand, but challenging lessons and tasks. These lessons and tasks, over time, come together to form a "big picture" approach to playing the guitar; the whole guitar: Up and down the neck, the way the guitar was meant to be played.
Bob lays the foundation through his use of the no nonsense Berklee Guitar Method, developed by his mentor, professor, and friend, the late William Levitt. That guitar method is recognized as one of the world's finest, but is also not for the weak-hearted. Bob has not only mastered it, he has modified, simplified, and improved on it, so that his students are able to progress far faster than under the original version of the method.
If you want to play the hell out of a guitar (in rock, jazz, or country), then you need a serious instructor. There are simply none better than Bob.
