Bob Coccia's Appliance Center

I have checked with Bob a few times in the past on appliances and this time I purchased a one piece washer/dryer. Delivery was set for today. First the man came to disconnect the connections and prepare for delivery of new as well as removal of this old one. Not too much later, the new machine was delivered, placed in position, and old one removed. Maybe 30 minutes later, the first man came back, made all the connections, put the machine in place, and tested all. The water connection was wrong, but only because the original installation was incorrect, so he corrected it and placed the machine back. He made sure all was level and everything worked. All in all, a most professional job. I would highly recommend Bob Coccia Appliance Center. I will be using them again for the next appliance I need.

Today, I dropped by the store to drop off a package (UPS Drop Off location) and then saw the owner in front of the door. I greeted him but all he did was scowl at me and didn't say a word. I walked into the store and saw a lady at the front desk, I greeted her, and she didn't say anything back either. In the end, I made a mistake and thought I could drop off my package there, but I couldn't. So, I told him that I was sorry but the man just made a dismissing sound as if I ruined his day.

I lived in Bayside for over 20 years and that was my first and very last time in the store. While I was waiting, I had a chance to look around at some appliances that I needed but won't ever bring my business to this store nor would recommend anyone else either.

All in all, it was a terrible experience and such a shame because I'm such a big-believer in local, mom-and-pop stores as opposed to giant retailers.

Bob Coccia's, you guys proved me wrong.
