In 2010 I stumbled upon this secret gem after a horrible haircut left me searching for a place willing to take a walk-in early before facing my office peers. Luba sat me down, salvaged my horrible cut, while reassuring me that my hair would grow back! 6 years later and I'm still faithfully going to Luba. Yes- the place looks like a barber shop. But where else can you find someone willing to squeeze me in when I decide the hair must be cut off immediately? Where else can I find a place that lets me get just a cut for $20 and not leave me feeling judged for not getting a full wash and blow dry? Luba knows hair. And she knows how to make you feel beautiful even if you feel like you look like a wet dog- staring back at you in the mirror. Non Pretentious. Affordable. Consistent. I'm sold.

I am the type of person who has used 3 barbers in my life because I am particular about my haircuts. I was recommended to this place from a colleague when I starting working in NYC 4 years ago. I have been going back ever since and have recommended at least 10 people to this place. All of the staff does an excellent job for both Males and Females. If you are looking for a trustworthy and stable place to get a haircut, this is the place.

Wonderful salon, great price - can't beat it in NYC. Luba knows what she is doing, $70 for a root dye and cut. Friendly, professional, and clean - this will be my new standard salon.
