I found myself wandering around the area and found this restaurant. Gave it a try and loved it. Great selection of German beers and some wine selections. Staffs are nice and friendly, food was yummy and delicious. Well seasoned and balanced. Overall great experience and glad I stopped by here.

Great! Being originally from there, I can confidently say that Blaue Gans would also do well in Austria. I have been going there for years and not only does the menu change form time to time, it also maintains it's authenticity with a contemporary twist to Austrian cuisine.

Nice old-style Restaurant with Austrian Cuisine. One of the best Wiener Schnitzel outside of Austria made us dare to try the "Kaiserschmarrn" for Dessert (we got a "kaiserschmarrn-flavoured" fluffy biscuit - OK). Wine served too warm ... ask for ice cubes or choose a White! Friendly staff.

We found ourselves in NYC on my birthday and reached out to a friend for a recommendation, and cannot say enough good things about the evening we spent at Blaue Gans. Our waiter Bryham was warm, friendly, and tremendously knowledgeable about the food and spirits; his timing was impeccable. The food was absolutely delicious. One member of our party was a vegetarian and the kitchen could not have been more accommodating. We cannot recommend Blaue Gans highly enough, we will make a point of coming back the next time we visit the city.

Simply wonderful! The food was excellent, the restaurant is decorated with art on the walls, and the ambience was great. This is hands down the best restaurant I have been to in NYC. It's in Tribeca, just off the 1/2/3 subway line, so it's super convenient to get to. And as it's in southern Manhattan, it's a nicer and more quiet part of town; gets you away from the craziness of Times Square for a change.
And it's reasonable for NYC-two of us paid around $160, including a 20% tip, for cocktails, appetizer, main course, and coffee for each, with one dessert to share.
Check it out. It is just super.
