Blakley Equipment

when I went in today I wasn't sure what to expect but it turned out to be a great experience for me. It was a lot of fun meeting new people and the way the company is ran couldn't have been done better I would recommend this for anyone!!

I recently attended the Aerial lift Saftey/ Training Program in Mount Vernon as to cooperate with the Local 52 Union qualifications. I feel this course is a necasary part of being safe on a union set. The staff was friendly & sent reminder emails about the class before hand. The written course itself was explained in detail. The videos we watched had outdated facts but supposedly this is the only saftey video made by the company until they update it. The hands on training itself could of been a little better handled. The Personal Fall System was not explained in detail. Each rig we used jammed up at some point due to oil and/or fuel problems & had to be switched out. The instructor left out details that each rig is different and can have different saftey features such as pulling up on a speed ring to move left or right & waited until we were in the air to address this. Also the instruction booklet was not on the vehicle as required & the labels were damaged/ torn off to the controls also another saftey hazard which we had just learned about not a half an hour before. The instructor also warned that the saftey siren could be hard to hear above & is sometime disconnected by the operator. He did not tell us how to put it back in & simply stated "If OSHA shows up on site you have to plug it back in or you can get a fine" rather then insisting to never work against OSHA standards. We did use the siren during the course. I know everyone is trying their best but a packet or booklet should be given out upon starting the practical as a guide since we are up in the air 40 feet, alone for the first time.

I recently attended the Aerial Lift Operator Training/Safety Awareness class. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The instructor was extremely knowledgable and patient during the hands-on training. Great friendly atmosphere and an overall fun experience. Highly recommend Blakley to anyone that needs this certification.

I recently attended Boomlift/Scissorlift training at Blakley Equipment. The Instructor, Arnie was very thorough, knowledgeable and helpful. He answered all of the questions I presented and was very patient in the hands-on portion of the class. I would recommend Blakley training for anyone needing to acquire this certification.

These guys saved my day! We were working with a boom lift from another company that failed on us. Jennifer at Blakely worked with me to get a new lift. they not only were very nice and pleasant to talk to, but the machine they got us was perfect. It was clean, in great working order and came right on time. I will always use them from here on out!
