Black Swan

My friends and I ordered three burgers, all cooked medium - should be an easy order, right? When they arrived, one was medium, one was medium rare, and mine was barely rare. After complaining, they took my plate back and 5-10 minutes later when my friends had already finished their burgers, they brought back the same burger (with my previous bite missing) but it had been cooked to death, and was totally well done. Also, no apology from the waiter when it was brought back out.

When we got the check, nothing was comped which was very surprising given the situation / bad service...we had also ordered 3 beers. When I said that I was surprised, the waiter got a bit of an attitude, then said he couldn't do anything and had to talk to his manager. When he came back to the table, he just dropped the check on the table and said "we took off one of the beers" and walked away...again, no apology just attitude.... it is unfortunate, because I had really wanted to like this place and would have likely gone pretty frequently.

-- Update - I have since been back, and I've never experienced anything like what I did above, but that doesn't excuse it...I'm leaving this because I think it's relevant!

Great looking spot. Relatively reasonable prices... until you see the portion size. (Though damn the chicken and waffles that kept coming out of the kitchen looked incredible). Bloody Swan (their take on a Bloody Mary) should be great with that rash of bacon stirred into the glass. Mine, however, had a long, tangled hair in it, so I sent it back. It was "made" again and served back to me with the same hair. If that's the attitude of the kitchen/bar, that scares me as to what else is going on back of house. Also, I was a little surprised that after serving me a hairball twice, the drink was still on the check. All said, I feel like I'll be back though for the beers and some of the weeknight specials look fun (unlimited prosecco!) but not sure if I'l eat anything that comes out of the kitchen again and definitely not going for table service. Not worth it.

Decent pub food and beers on draft. Cocktails also available (very memorable and filling bloodies). Different specials every night. Table service can be spotty, so I stick to the bar.

Love this restaurant in an up and coming area in Brooklyn! I came on a Monday and enjoyed 1/2 price on a bottle of wine! (only mondays) the staff was very friendly and service was nice! I loved their macaroni and cheese and their salad!

I normally eat at Black Swan occasionally but i decided to order through gruhhub.... On this particular night I ordered their Thai Wings and French fries however there was a blonde strand of hair cooked in with the fries.... Spoke to the manager Hollie who didn't have a clue as to how to handle the situation claiming she's a new manager she then put me through to the owner who told me there are no blonde workers there ... He didn't have no sympathy to the situation he gave a shut up aggravated approach to the situation he then offered me another order of fries as if I just wanted free food.... I was simply just trying to inform him of what I was chewing on which was hair.... I've managed many of restaurants and this is not how you handle customer's.... I have over a 1000 facebook friends and will be sure to let them know not to eat here anymore this could've been handled differently as a business owner you don't handle customers this way
