Bistro Du Nord

We were at Bistro Du Nord about a week ago. The service was fair to good and the food was good. However, we did ask if the artichoke appetizer was hot. We were told yes but it came cold and another person said they are served cold. I could live with that since we were having a lovely meal and enjoying ourselves. We were close to done-it was about 7:15 when a waiter approached our table and told us we would have to leave that a group was waiting 15 minutes for a table. I mentioned that there were other vacant tables and the waiter said the people waiting wanted that particular table. I talked to a manager and I also just spoke to Irena. She said they were sorry-big deal. The owners name is Patrick but he was not there. I will never go back to a restaurant that wants you to leave because someone is waiting 15 minutes for a table that they specifially wanted when there were several other tables. NY has many fine restaurants where you are not treated in such a shabby fashion!
