The service is okay. It could be a bit quicker and friendlier. I do like the message near their menu meant to encourage visitors to stay and sit the tables even if there is one person sitting there, but this is New York. Personal space is a commodity.

Quick service, iced green tea was good, cold brew coffee was okay. Took ours to go but the people inside were utilizing the wifi and made the ambience seem comfortable

It was a nice atmosphere. I was surprised that they had only one type of coffee available when I went and it was unfortunately kind of weak (even a bit "watery").

The best chai latte in NYC! My favorite thing about Birch chai is the foam: thick, white and spoonable. I never go there in a rush or grab a cup to take away, I always plan to have enough time to sit next to the window and enjoy the drink.

One of just a handful of proper espresso coffee cafes in Manhattan - easy to tell by the number of Aussies passing through. Genuinely good coffee - probably the best on the Upper West Side - certainly the best around this area...
