This place is THE BEST!!! knowledgeable, friendly and extremely professional. They'll go above and beyond to make sure your bike is serviced as if it were their very own. Because of them my Black Betty can keep on cycling. Highly recommend this shop to the others in the Astoria area. And most important their pricing is flat out the most reasonable. BIKE STOP is #1

Friendly, helpful owner and staff. Although small, they are well-stocked with a wide variety of parts and tools (it was amazing what the owner was able to pull out from hidden drawers!) Bike Stop has a limited selection of bicycles, but enough variety to satisfy every type of cyclist. Reasonable collection of helmets and locks, but don't look for shoes or other apparel here. My sense is that their forté is repair. Owner installed everything that I bought that went on my bicycle, without me needing to ask and without additional charge. I rate this store as one of the better neighborhood bicycle shops in the NYC area.

I went to a bike shop called Bicycle Repairman around 35th ave and spoke to a woman about fixing my breaks and she had no idea what she was talking about.....and couldn't give me a set price. She ended up telling me that it would take a week to get my bike fixed. So I ended up going here and these guys knew exactly what to do with my bike and gave me a set low price! and the guy said it would only take one hour. One hour! They were really friendly and fast!

Very friendly and helpful staff. I was shown bikes immediately. They put together a bike for me while I waited. The store has a great variety of bikes and is clean. The complete opposite experience from the bike shop just blocks north of it. I'd suggest you only consider this shop. In an age where we can get bikes anywhere, shop online, etc... what is important in a local business is friendly, fast and good customer service.
Did I mention 4 YEARS FREE MAINTENANCE??
