Bike Masters

Was looking to buy a road bike and the owner ordered one for me, was shipped pretty quick. Great service too. And I love their selection of cycle jerseys. A+ experience.

The problem with some of these reviews is that they're by people who have incorrect expectations. Niche stores, bike shops, gun shops, specialty sporting shops can feel intimidating to walk into as the experience is different.

This is a small shop, that does good repair work by an honest guy. There are bigger shops nearby, but you won't get the kind of personal attention you will here. I'm going in today to have my bike worked on because I know the job won't be rushed and it will be ready quickly. The other places just stack it up against a wall, write a ticket and have you come back two to four days later.

Regarding prices and MSRP, blame the market and not the shop. NYC is competitive and people will pay what the market can bear. If you're going to buy a C'dale or Trek and yo find a better price, come here and the owner will work with you.

Customer oriented. They custom build bikes, and do most repairs and tuning. The owner rides at least twice a week at Ringwood State Park, Sundays 8am, Parking lot C.

The bikes I priced were above retail list. I can't say how good they are because that's always a bad sign so I left.
