The Ice Cream is worth the price. Expect to eat a lot of it or split one with someone. Sometimes they make an extra and give it away, because why throw it out?! Very nice and a place to go if you're in the village!

Fun toppings on cruise ship quality soft serve. Long lines, meh service. More about a fun atmosphere than actual ice cream.

I walked past this shop and decided on a whim to go in. Big Gay Ice Cream Shop hands down has one of the best ice cream experiences in New York City. It may not be the best ice cream in NYC as I am not a native and wouldn't know but the shop extends beyond the generic service of ice cream and has perfected a focus on a very unique customer experience that in itself will continue to draw me back and new curious customers in.

I can't comprehend the high rating this place has for at best marginal soft serve. Carnival ships have better free ice cream on the Lido deck. Very disappointed. A big gay ripoff.
Go grab yourself some Ben and Jerry's.

I was so excited to come from seeing on Food Network but due to being full from the tapas I just shared prior I couldn't indulge! This is why I'm giving my stars so low because I only experienced this through my friends senses. She was not WOW'ed, I do want to return to make my own decision. The line was not horrible prior to entry, considering the heat was oppressive. We waited a little more than 15 minutes. The seating is poor and sparse in the shop.
