This small lake is home to many geese and ducks. It is surrounded by a walkway and has a basketball court to one side. Next to this lake is the real Rahway river, which goes beneath the garden state parkway. I call it Big Bend Lake because it lies close to a portion of the Rahway where the river bends in a big arch, surrounding the streets of Hillside, Mendell, and Crane Parkway.
