Informandomi prima di partire, ho deciso di prenotare una giornata con un greeter di New York. I greeter sono una specie di guida che abitano a New York e che sono innamorati della grande mela (e come dargli torto!). In base ai quartieri che vuoi visitare, ti abbinano ad un personaggio che di norma, in quel quartiere ci vive.
Mai scelta fu più azzeccata! E’stata una giornata meravigliosa con Steve, la nostra guida.
Se scegliete di affidarvi all’associazione Big Apple Greater, tenete in considerazione di prenotare almeno un mesetto prima della partenza.

A geat way to get your bearings in New York on your first full day. Our guide was very friendly and so enthusiastic about NY. Like all visitors, we had a list of things to see and do during our stay but it was so helpful just to ride the subway or the bus to see where places are located for future reference (eg Bryant Pk. or the Plaza Hotel food hall)
We spent about five hours with our greeter, had a ot of fun and couldn't wait to explore this wonderful city.

A really really great idea. I had the best morning, learnt more than if I had read all the available literature, , rode the subway with ease for the rest of my stay, had all my trivial and not so trivial questions answered and enjoyed the rest of my visit much more than I would have done otherwise . Greeter was enthusiastic, knowledgable and welcoming.
