I adopted my puppy from bideawee in September of 2014 with his healing leg from a surgery he had received by the doctors at bideawee. I am grateful for what they have done for him saving his life. They started off extremely vague telling us they could not tell us about where he was from and they didn't know how he was injured (said he probably just fell) and that he would have a full recovery, no problem. We were also told that he was only nervous around bideawee bc of the highway and walked fine everywhere which was a huge lie. First day I took him home he planted himself and I ended up carrying 15 blocks home. He was terrified of the entire world and still is to this day. Especially knowing I was a first time dog owner, i can't believe they thought it was a good match. Thankfully I have always worked with all different kinds of animals my whole life and have many dog trainer friends to deal with his anxiety a bit that it's been ok.later on in another appointment, I find out he had broken his leg IN THEIR CARE (as I was thinking all along that he was abused because he was so fearful) and he has been favoring his leg again recently so I brought him in and they found nothing wrong although there is something very apparently wrong. Along with that, I brought him to the animal medical center since he was nauseous and they find that he has a heart murmur, which bideawee claims to have started from him running at the park, which a cardiologist at amc said that is not possible at all and he was born with it. His heart murmur was so loud I could hear it through his chest so I don't know how the people at bideawee could not notice. My experience with them has been very stressful and they have not owned up to anything. I have been unable to take my dog to run and play and he's so young it's tough to see his youth and energy have to be pushed down because of an ineffective surgery and inconclusive examinations+X-rays. The fact that they did not notice his heart murmur EVER of all times I brought him there, and lied about the type of dog he was makes me not want to ever suggest anyone to go there. I appreciate the work that they do as a rescue organization but their hospitals I would never recommend. They do have some particular staff that are wonderful and truly care and love my dog but the vets are not them.
