This is the 'pastor' Pastor Eric Dammann that punched a child in the chest for not taking his mythical gawd seriously. Its an abomination that this shill is still employed at this church.

This pastor and congregation should be ashamed. He openly admits to child abuse in his sermon and brags about it. If I belonged to this church I would see that he was removed. I would not advise anyone to go here, unless you like your children chest punched during youth group. He is no different than the Islamic fighters wanting to use violence to bring people to God.

A church that truly speaks the truth about God's Word. Preaches God's Word boldly without compromise, not yielding to the worlds political correctness and legalism. Truly a church that will help you grow if you are serious in your walk with Christ.

Fantastic, loving church, great Spanish-speaking ministry, terrific reputation in the community.

The pastor was very wrong to either punch Ben, if he really did, or else to exaggerate or lie about it, which I think might be the case.

My husband and I have known this pastor for 13 years in another church. He seems uneducated in the video, but that is because he's speaking in a folksy tone, colloquially. He actually does have an undergrad degree in Philosophy and also, a postgraduate degree, and is quite bright. (But this video certainly does not display this about him! It's admittedly horrific! Such a glaring contrast to what we typically see in his ministry.)

We have had our children in his youth group while he ran it, and we have never, ever even heard of such a thing taking place. There has been no scandal in our own church, Ben is denying it ever happened, Ben's mother never knew of any such incident. Ben actually chose Pastor Eric to be the pastor to baptize him as a teen! (At the time, he had a choice of pastors from whom to choose.) This is so uncharacteristic of Pastor Eric that I could not possibly tell you! I'm not sure what in the world motivated him to say this during this sermon in July, but I just simply don't believe that he actually punched Ben, or simply, not in any way that was so forceful and violent. He and Ben obviously shared a close bond, for Ben to select Pastor Eric as his baptizing pastor.

Pastor Eric has served with dignity, compassion, wisdom, and thoughtfulness in our church. He helped remove an awful emotional knot within me by counseling me after my tubal pregnancy ended in abortion to save my life. As an adoptee, I am prolife, and I did not want the abortion...I was told by my doctor I had a 97% chance of dying, as the tube was rupturing and I was internally hemorrhaging. But because I had a husband and a child to think about who needed me alive, I went forward, afterwards racked with guilty. Pastor Eric sensitively helped me through that.

I will defend this man till the day I die. He is NOT the evil, cruel, vicious person that those who don't know him render him to be from just watching 51 seconds of a video. I am sure that he exaggerated and embellished in the sermon upon what actually transpired between him and Ben. That was ridiculous of him to do! I am sure that he has learned his lesson! But, what a tremendously loving man, he is deeply committed to the holistic well-being of his congregants and it is necessary to look at the arch of his ministry life to really know Pastor Eric. This video clip is a caricature of who he really is. I invite you to come to Bible Baptist Church, sit under his teaching, get to know him, and find out what the ministry at the church is really like.

The parishioners here are loving, genuine, gentle people who serve in the community and reach out to extend Jesus' compassion and tenderness. They did not ask for Pastor Eric to say this in a sermon. Do not blame them. But they know him and know that he would not really do that. This is why they stay. The story in the sermon was a hugely unfortunate misspeak. This is a beautiful church that graces its community. It deserves a visit by you to reach out to Christ in their midst and find Him there, among them. I have the greatest admiration for this church and the way that it humbly walks with Christ.
