Without a doubt the most unhelpful and disorganized lending unit I've ever worked with. While mortgage and HELOC loans are never easy, quick or hassle free, BFCU takes it it a new low.
Simple questions take a week to get responded to, and answer usually takes 2-3 weeks. They lost so many documents I've just sent them copies of everything every few weeks. The loan rep promised 30-45 days to get approved and 10 weeks later one still cannot get a status update. Save yourself the time and hassle and shop at a major bank even if it costs a 1/8 point more. it'll be worth your sanity and pocketbook.
