Best Western Jamaica Inn

I loved my stay at this Best Western and consider it my New York home. It was clean, the breakfast was yummy, and the fitness center, albeit small, is more than adequate. Include the stairs in your workout and you will be fine. The business center and room were also more than adequate. I rested very well. The staff was great and very responsive to any questions, concerns or needs. The neighborhood is very quaint and everything you could need is within walking distance, including trains and buses. Key Foods is a great grocery store and the diversity of restaurants was amazing. The New Life Christian Bookstore was a real treat. I am looking forward to returning soon. Thank you!

The hotel is very outdated, not clean either. Location has nothing to do with JFK airport, it will take you 15 to 30 minutes on a taxi to get to JFK. Area is very dodgy, I would not risk it to go outside when it is dark.
Noise is ridiculuos, you can perfectly hear someone flushing their toilet on another floor. Highway at the doorstep does not help it either.
Safety is a big question too. I saw bags of dirty linen stored on a fire escape stairs.
Would not recommend this place.

Nice staff. Amazing continental breakfast. No cots however. Handicapped bathrooms available which i loved and was also bariatric. New rooms. I enjoyed it overall.
