If I could give them a less star, I WOULD without any doubt. I know you're reading this like okay, this is going to be negative, but I have to keep it real. The people here upper staff are soooo ghetto its unbelievable. They are under-staff and they treat you like you do not matter when you come to them with a REAL life issue. They do not care about you. They care about that MONEY. I was a Dean student for 2 yrs there and I had an serious emergency in my family and had to drop out mid-semester, I was told that I would not have anything to pay due to the emergency... Then I head back to school the following semester with over $1,000 in school fines. Im like WTF..... and long story short. They aint taking it off no matter how much I cry, and tell them that the lady told me that I would not have to pay, NO ONE was willing to hear me. They say, she would never say that to a student. HAaaaa unbelievable. NO ONE beleives me and this has been 4 yrs ago and NOW I want to attend a REAL UNIVERSITY and they will not release my official transcript. Devils.. real ghetto devils.

Great school. Easy to do criminal justice. Good professors.

Berkeley's Newark campus is my main campus and I have had a great experience at the college. It is located near other campuses such as Rutgers Newark and NJIT so there is always something going on in the area. The Newark campus is much smaller than the other Berkeley campuses I've been to but it is a positive atmosphere where most of the faculty and staff are very helpful. Most of my professors are easily accessible by email or during their office hours and are glad to help. The only issue I have had was with advisement. I don't feel that they were very helpful when it came to helping me create my schedule and felt that I was on my own for the most part. I learned from my mistakes and have enjoyed the Berkeley College Experience overall.

I don't hate it.But I wouldn't go there either.My son graduated from there four years ago. Now,he doesn't have a degree because they chose not to send it.Being that it was their fault for misspelling his name.I like to know what is the problem.Why can't they correct this misspell and send his degree.I believe he earned.I will look into this matter soon.I like to know what kind of excuse they are going to give me.
