Bergenfield Animal Clinic

I just called the clinic today October 14, 2013 at 5:21 pm and I was talking to a receptionist named Denise. I asked her about my pet's scheduled appointment for tomorrow, just clarifying the time, she asked for my last name and I gave it to her, she said she could not find it, I asked if it might be under my pets name she said she has no one under my last name. She asked if I am calling the right clinic I said yes, but I could already hear a negative tone in her voice. I asked again if she could look at the schedule chart for tomorrow she said that no one has a schedule tomorrow with the last name, I asked maybe she could help me by just looking at the schedule then she started yelling at me telling me that the last name matters without giving an alternative solution, so I told her you are rude, you are yelling at me I will tell Dr. Applestein about this and I am moving to a different clinic. We have been going to this clinic since 2001 and it only took 3 minutes to turn our back away from this clinic because of a rude and disrespectful receptionist. Be kind and patient and helpful DENISE, remember you are on the phone, you could not even see the person you are having a conversation with, be positive instead of being so defensive right away, you are not an asset to Dr. Applestein's business.

I have been bringing my two dogs and cats here for years. I think they do great work.

LOVE this vet. Dr. Merz is compassionate, kind, friendly and knowledgable. I felt very comfortable with the entire staff, from the doctors to the techs to the admins. Dr. Applestein is great too, he consulted with Dr. Merz on an issue we had with our bordie collie and they were amazing. Our dog is part of our family and Drs. Merz and Applestein treated her as such. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking excellent care for their animals.

the staff at this animal clinic are the best.. they are helpful, patient with the animals. Very Knowledgeable and provide excellent care. we had Crystal a white Samoyed...13 years. Now we have King Arthur our second dog he is 6 years old. A very big friendly golden Retriever. i highly recommend this facility..
