Ben's Kosher Deli & Restaurant

I can understand what Junior M. said about the service; while ours was friendly enough, they weren't exactly mavens of the menu. When I asked for advice regarding a few different items, I may have been asking their opinion on foreign policy. That said, I was there at about 8:30 on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was not busy at all.

That aside, the food was solid (I ordered stuffed cabbage which came with a huge latke, and peas/carrots, and my fiancee got the pastrami omelette which also came with a latke).

I can't speak to the quality of the deli meat, but my meal was good, and big enough to take home for a 2nd meal, and it was only about 16 dollars, which for a kosher meal is quite cheap.

Used to visit this Ben's when we lived in Queens. This one is located in the Bay Terrace shopping center. This area has changed alot since we moved out to Long Island.

This location has alot of parking, so that shouldn't be an issue. Also, the wait is usually very short...as the dinning area is very spacious. The wait staff is very friendly and quick. They set you up with the cole slaw, pickles, cucumbers and are always ready to take your order.

I almost always order the overstuffed hot pastrami on club. Throw some mustard on there and I'm a very happy man. :)

The fries are sometimes hit or miss... sometimes they seem a little undercooked.

I only wish I could pay at the bill at the table instead of waiting on line at the register up front.

Just what you would expect. Consistent old style Jewish deli across the whole chain.

Pastrami on rye, no reason to get anything else. Pickles and coleslaw are the best around.

Really good kosher deli. A bit pricey but still good.
