Belmont Park Race Track

Great seats to see all the action on a BIG track. Easy to wager and the food from the restaurants and concessions is suprisingly good.

This is a great place to watch history when the Belmont Stakes is run. It is still pretty cool the other 364 days of the year. It got too crowded on Belmont Stakes day so now they cap the event at 90,000 people. I am totally behind that. There is no need to wait for a serious incident. I wish they would come up with an awesome official cocktail of the Belmont Stakes, but they keep changing it. Both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes have classic and historic official cocktails.

Over 400 acres of beauty here. Wonderful tradition anywhere, parks, inside, garden terrace, track-side.... lots to do and fun for the enthusiast and entire family

Nothing like spending a day at beautiful Belmont Park. Gorgeous facility with terrific Thoroughbred racing. There are activities for the entire family to enjoy and I love that you can get up-close and personal with the horses when they are in the paddock being saddled. Was fortunate to have been there for American Pharoah's Triple Crown win in the Belmont and it was one of the greatest, most enjoyable days of my life. Can't wait for my next trip to Belmont Park!

I have been to the Belmont Stakes twice, and both times with the Triple Crown on the line. One was in 2004 and then last year. It is obvious that it is not a normal day of operations when you go one of those days. But, considering the amount of people that go to the Belmont, I'll have to say things go pretty smoothly. My main complain from last year was the way they handled the line to get into the building. We had purchased seats in advance, and we had to make the same line as the ones who were buying General Admission. Also, parking on the outside of the building was $20, which I found a little bit steep. Other than that, you need to be prepared to stay in line for food or to use the bathroom for a long period of time. For the ladies, the bathroom line is much slower in the lads restroom, so many times I saw the ladies using the mens bathroom. Be prepared for that. Also you need to be in line for betting at least 15 minutes before the start of the race, or else you risk getting shut down.

Belmont Park is a beautiful place, where is very pleasant to watch horse racing. Grandstand and clubhouse seating gives you a full view of all the mile and a half oval, which is the largest in the US. Its true that some areas need renovation, but compared to Aqueduct, is like heaven.
