Bela Herbal of New York

The owner has bad attitude, gives unnecessary talks about her products and gives horrible hair cut. Not worth it. Never ever again going there.

So, I went into this place for a full face cleaning and the girl proceeded to take of me. I asked questions as to their other services listed on the board. I also asked about hair cuts as I was interested in having one and ask who did the cutting. The girl responded that Bela (the owner, who was sitting at the far end of the premises) did the cutting, and that she does a good job as she owned four salons. I responded that ok, but I always ask because I have had my hair messed up before by people who just work in the salons and had not been certified.

Then this girl and Bela proceeded to talk in Hindi as Bela was curious as to what our conversation was about. Bela then got up and walked across from where she was sitting and proceeded to proudly inform me that she owned four different salons and how successful she was. (for me it was not about trust, it was about me being an informed customer) . She walked back to her seat and sat there with this other lady and they kept both looking over at me and laughing at some remark Bela had made. I felt quite disgusted that I had chosen this place for my beauty needs and thought the owner was very unprofessional and confrontational. She was sitting just a few feet away from the customer and making fun of the customer with someone else and laughing.

I was not dressed professionally at the time and not wearing make-up etc, but I do work in a professional setting, for many years and and am quite successful myself. I also know that all customers are to be treated as guests and made to feel welcome at your place of business.

I will never set foot in this place and while the girl did a good job, I give 1 star for poor hospitality and unprofessionalism.
