Becker Park

Great peaceful quiet woods lovely walk

Becker's Farm was formerly a large diary farm locally famous for the authentic small trains that carried folks from all over Jersey on a journey around the farm, passing pigs, chickens, and cows until heading into forest, pastures and streams. Additionally, folk legend has it that the Fast Ones, spirits of the Lenee-Lenape Indians that once lived on the land, continue to run wild in the woods and fields, chasing deers and the occasionally hiking human. I have seen them on several occasions flying over the grass as if propelled by secret winds. They are friendly creatures and enjoy showing off.

Secluted county park with a filed and some benches. It that connects to the Lenope trail and is affiliated with nearby county parks (Riker Hill Art Park and the Kiddie Dinosaur Fossel Site). Via the trail, one can go between Livingston and Roseland. It makes a nice wooded walk with a small section under power lines. Just be prepared to go with a buddy. The trail has a section of over 1 mile where you likely won't see anyone in sight.

Nice walk and probably looks nice after a snow fall, but that's about it.
