From the moment I discovered this place I knew this would be my second home. My sister and I bond every chance we get over the flavor of the day. My only gripe is that they only have two arm chairs. Excellent service, excellent products.

Awesome place, great coffee, good people, wonderful atmosphere. So what are you waiting for?! If you have not already go join the Beans Fam. Promise you will become obsessed like everyone else. This place has so much character and has a special place in my heart. It gives our community somewhere happy to go have a cup of coffee with friends. It feels like Brooklyn or Manhattan, but conveniently local on the island!!!

This place is awesome from their customer service and decor all the way to their unique teas, coffees and treats. Starbucks pales in comparison on all fronts. Keep up the good work, guys!

I visited Beans and Leaves during the St. Patrick's Parade taking place on Forest Ave. It was crowded which was expected since it was snowing outside and people wanted a cozy place to stay warm. I like to support small businesses but I was disappointed. I asked for a small cup of French Press coffee. Being a coffee snob, I understand that it takes longer to make and is more of an involved process. The girl making it was busy taking orders from other people while she was waiting for it; she reminded me that it would be a few minutes. No problem. As she is pressing down on the beans, she engages in conversation, forgetting about the whole point of French press coffee. When I took a sip, I tasted coffee grinds. When I opened the lid, I saw coffee grinds. If you're a coffee snob like I am, go to Starbucks. You'll never be disappointed there. (Owner/manager of this establishment: take note!)
