Reviews to Be Fluent NYC
This place is a phenomenal school for students and professionals who are looking for a stimulating, safe, caring, and enriching environment in which to learn English. The owners are dedicated people who do everything they can to help the students learn the language at a pace that works best for them and they and the teachers go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome a new country. The teachers are knowledgeable and patient and make language learning easy, fun, and natural for the students. I was once a teacher here myself and only ended up leaving due to moving from the city. I am certain that whoever wrote the last review here is confusing this place with another. There has always been sensitivity to diversity at this school and it is run by people and supported by employees who are in this line of work with the intention of helping different people in the world come together to promote cultural understanding.

I do not comprehend how Be Fluent NYC has not been investigated and/or at least reprimanded by the state of New York for violating the anti-discrimination law. They have gotten away with it for 8 years.
If you look at the employees that work at this private English tutoring school on their company website, you will see that they are ALL Caucasian. This is a huge red flag.
As a non-Caucasian applicant interested in an ESL instructor job position, you will receive adverse treatment from the co-directors even though you somehow pass the pre-screening stage and get to the interview stage(s). Even if by some miracle you get the job, you will be paid less than your Caucasian co-workers. In addition, you will receive constant adverse treatment from the co-directors, and co-workers. To be specific, it is a high possibility that the co-directors and co-workers (ALL of whom are Caucasian) will bully, and/or make trouble for you while you are working there.
The aforementioned can’t be disputed (or refuted). Obviously, it would not surprise me if I will be perceived as being a person who spreads lies and libel, thereby attacking my integrity.
If you are a non-Caucasian and/or learning disabled, I would avoid this company like the plague.
